Frequently asked questions.

I am interested in services! How do I get started?

You can call the office or reach out via our contact form.

What are your session formats?

In-person sessions are 45-50 minutes long and offered at the Ad Astra office located in Marlton, NJ. Virtual sessions are 45-50 minutes long and are offered for clients that reside in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Groups, when offered, will be 60 minutes long, whether delivered virtually or in-person.

What can I expect in my first session?

Your first session is a chance to share what is bringing you to therapy - current difficulties, relevant circumstances in your life, and your goals for the future. Your therapist will ask you questions about factors that might be contributing to your current challenges, and can help you identify goals if you are not sure what you would like to work on. This will also be a time to explore the therapeutic process and ask any questions that you might have.

For child clients, the first session will incorporate a mix of talking all together, with time spent at the end of the session for the child and therapist to begin getting to know one another.

Do you take insurance? What are your fees?

I am in-network with most major insurance companies (listed here). If your insurance provider is out-of-network, I am happy to provide superbills for all sessions, which can be submitted to your insurance company for reimbursement. My out-of-network fee $165 for individual sessions and $185 for family/couples sessions.
